Federal Apostilles and Federal Authentications for U.S. Documents

Although we mostly obtain Apostilles for  documents issued by officers acting on behalf of the State of California (such as notarized documents, State Court documents and Vital Records like Birth Certificates), we also obtain Apostilles for documents that were issued by the federal government, i.e., U.S. Government.  Documents issued by branches of the United States Government are considered to be Federal Documents, and they cannot receive Apostilles from the California Secretary of State.  Instead, these documents must receive either Federal Apostilles or Federal Authentications from the U.S. Department of State Office of Authentications, which is part of the U.S. Department of State. Documents that are required to be processed this way include FBI Criminal Background checks,  Certified Copies of documents from the USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services), and Certified Copies of documents from other Federal Agencies.

Our Pricing for Federal Apostilles/Federal Authentications

For  Federal Apostilles or Authentication  (documents processed through the U.S. Secretary of State’s office in Washington DC), (documents such as FBI Background Checks, Certificates of Naturalization, or  Judgments from U.S. Courts), we charge $250 for the first document authenticated or apostilled, plus $100 for each additional document in an order. This service currently takes about 6 to 8 weeks to fulfill  (as of 11/17/2023). This price includes all shipping charges to destinations within the Continental U.S.   We accept Cash,   Credit and Debit Cards,  Western Union, Pay Pal,  Venmo, Cash App and Zelle payments.  We send a Pay Pal invoice to all of our customers, and they may choose to pay with any of the methods mentioned.

After the Federal Authentication- Consulate/Embassy Authentication in Washington DC

Once your document receives a Federal Authentication, the next step before sending the document to a foreign country for use is the Consulate Authentication at an Embassy.  We provide this service as the next step for obtaining Federal Authentications.  Some common Embassies that we serve for this purpose include Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Egypt and Thailand.  We charge $175 for the first document plus $100 for each additional document in your order for Embassy Authentication, plus Authentication Fees charged by the Embassy.  We also charge for Fed Ex shipping.  Each Embassy has its own processing time, but most of them take a week or less to process.

Shipping

We ship all documents containing Federal Apostilles using Fed Ex, unless otherwise requested to use another service like UPS or DHL.
