Notary Fees Increased on January 1, 2017 for California Notaries

Due to the passage of California Assembly Bill 2217 on August 17, 2017, the maximum fees that California Notaries may charge increased on January 1, 2017.  Notaries may now charge a maximum of $15 for the following Notarial Acts:

  • Acknowledgments
  • Jurats
  • Oaths (including Oaths of Office)
  •  Certified Copy of Power of Attorney

Other fees charged by Notaries have had their maximums increase as well. To find out more information, please research California Assembly Bill 227.

All of the Notary Fees have increased here at Hollywood Notary Dot Net, to reflect the change in the law.   As most Notaries find out about the change in the law, you can expect to see changes across the board at all places that offer Notary services.

Thank you for choosing Hollywood Notary Dot Net!
